The ERASMUS programme allows students from our many European partner universities to study at ULS, as well as sends ULS students on exchanges with our partner institutions. Foreign students may study in all of our departments (with the exception of Continuing Education). All courses completed at ULS qualify for ECTS credits.

ULS offers several options for foreign students. Students who are proficient in the Polish language may take regular classes at ULS. Depending on the number of ERASMUS students and their interests, we also offer special, tailored seminars in English in addition to our regular English-language course offerings. ERASMUS students may also participate in our Experiencing the New Europe urban studies and cultural anthropology course, a combination of a semester-long course (in the Spring semester) that continues as a summer institute. We encourage you to contact us for further information about current course offerings designed to the needs of our ERASMUS student body.

Students may also come to ULS to pursue individual research projects or to write theses, for which ULS will provide faculty supervision. Please see our list of faculty to determine if this option is right for you.

Students may also study Polish, either through courses that ULS arranges in conjunction with the University of Wrocław, or through tandem language exchange with local Polish students.

ULS is also a partner institution in the Sea and the School: European Seas project, in which ULS students participate in intensive workshops, seminars and courses devoted to investigating the marine ecology of Europe. To date, ULS has hosted students from many European countries, including the Czech Republic, Germany, Norway, and Spain.
